This hearing assessment will entail the audiologist visually inspecting and examining your outer ear, then the audiologist will administer a middle ear analysis to check if there may be an infection affecting your hearing and last, the audiologist will carry out pure tone audiometry to evaluate what levels you are hearing at.

This is for anyone with some concerns about their hearing, experiencing some other symptoms like ear ache/ringing in the ear needing a hearing check to know their hearing status.

This advanced hearing assessment will entail the audiologist visually inspecting and examining your outer ear, then the audiologist will use a video analysis to show you how your ear looks. The audiologist will also administer a middle ear analysis to check if there may be an infection affecting your hearing, carry out two types of tone audiometry to evaluate what levels you are hearing at and an evaluation to check your ear reflexes.

Comprehensive Diagnostic Assessment

This is for anyone with definite concerns about their hearing, referred for an assessment by another healthcare professional, experiencing some difficulty with hearing in noise, hearing mumbled speech and may often be accused of listening to the TV or Music at high levels.

This advanced hearing assessment will entail the audiologist visually inspecting and examining your outer ear, use a video analysis to show you how your ear looks, administer a middle ear analysis to check if there may be an infection affecting your hearing, carry out three types of audiometry to evaluate hearing levels and an evaluation to check your ear reflexes.

Ear Care & Wax Management

Ear Care & Wax Management. This is for anyone struggling with wax blockage or needs foreign body removal in their ear.

The audiologist will administer a video analysis of your ear to determine required ear care and wax management service. For foreign body removal and wax cleaning the audiologist will use specialised tools to ensure appropriate care and will show you how your ear looks thereafter. In cases where there is hard wax or a foreign body is stuck, the audiologist may refer you for wax softening then offer wax removal once wax has softened to avoid pain and hurting your ears. Where necessary a consultation with an ENT specialist may be recommended.

Assessment for Hearing aid candidacy

This is for anyone already diagnosed with a hearing loss and looking assistive hearing and listening technology

To assess your hearing aid candidacy, the audiologist will administer a recent Comprehensive Diagnostic evaluation to determine your current hearing status, facilitate a hearing aid questionnaire to determine your needs in a hearing device and recommend a few devices for you to trial with leading hearing aid technology manufacturers. What to expect in the session: this is a 90 minute evaluation that will involve you sharing some of your medical history with the audiologist, you will undergo all the diagnostic evaluations and the audiologist will explain all the results and you will both discuss hearing aid options depending on your needs. You will be given an option to trial multiple devices until you find the one that works for your needs.

Device Clean and Troubleshooting

This is for individuals already fitted with hearing devices and or accessories that need some servicing, basic maintenance or a clean.

The audiologist will assess you devices and determine the needed service needs which can be a basic troubleshooting, a cleaning, a reprogramming or booking your device for a service with the manufacturer. If your device is booked for a service, the audiologist will facilitate all bookings, courier and communication with the manufacturer. You will be contacted when the device is ready to be returned to you.
